I am so relieved that the decision was made at executive level to bring Prince Harry home from the front line in Afghanistan.
It is my duty as a citizen of the world – but more importantly, as an Englishman – to congratulate whoever it was that came to such a prudent conclusion. Put the bubbly on ice, fire up the braziers across the land: let’s celebrate the brave, young chap’s glorious homecoming! England needs Prince Harry, and I for one am so pleased to have him back in Blighty where he belongs.
Some of my more astute and cynical readers might detect an overtone of sarcasm in my sentiments here, and would perhaps accuse me of being disrespectful. Well, let me say this: there is and I am.
